Editorial note
This week, Paratextos gathers a cycle of poems in which intimacy turns metaphysical. With a sober tone, measured with precision, Yuleisy’s voice retreats from the domestic realm to bring time itself into question: a life eroded by routine, the bitterness of adulthood, unintentional distance, emotional hunger.
Each poem confronts an unwanted nuance of time. The symbols of daily life act as mirrors of our humanity, where nostalgia becomes the shimmer that lends depth to said reflection.
In this radical shift of tone from our previous issues, Paratextos celebrates a voice that is restrained yet lucid, tangible, and profoundly honest. A voice that reminds us of a principle as essential as carpe diem.
